We believe the youth of today are the future of our world tomorrow and we value the importance of investing by equipping and empowering our young people the best way we can.
Sunday Morning Youth happens in term time during the morning service. The youth are split into two groups, Younger Youth (school years 7 – 9) and Older Youth (school years 10-13).
Younger Youth is a space where young people can be themselves. With sessions often involving games and activities as well as biblical teaching and times of discussion. Sessions will always include time for prayer.
Older Youth is a relaxed space where young people are encouraged to go even deeper into their faith. These sessions are full of time for discussion and prayer.
On Months with a 5th Sunday we have a Youth Led Service, where the youth take over leading the service. The young people can get involved in many different ways, from leading and preaching, to welcome and refreshments. We honestly believe that every role is as important as another and want to see young people serving God in whichever way suits them.
Youth Life Group
Youth Life Group is for young people in school years 7-10 and happens Wednesdays during term time, from 6-7pm.
This is a space in which young people are encouraged to look at the Bible and discover what it can mean for them in their own lives.
A typical session will normally involve a time at the beginning to catch up with each other and find out how everyone’s weeks have been. Then a time of Bible study and a time of prayer. We finish each session by enjoying cake and hot chocolate together.
Friday Night Youth
Friday Night Youth is for school years 7-13. It happens during term time in the Church. The session runs from 7-8.30pm.
At Friday Night Youth we have partnered with Kick to run sessions. Kick seeks to transform young people’s lives with God’s love through sport and support.
A typical session will involve time at the beginning to catch up, do a craft and buy sweets from the tuck shop. It will then move into a time of multi sports run by Kick, which will also involve a time of discussion about a theme relating to Christianity.
