Dear Church,
The church of St Saviours is under the blessing and protection of God. God has perfect plans for each and every one of us, and we have been privileged to serve here as part of that plan for over 4 years. He has done amazing things through you all and will continue to do so as long as you keep your eyes fixed on Him.
We put our trust in God alone. We have tried to make sure that everything we have done comes from Him and is for Him. We acknowledge we haven't always succeeded. We give all glory to God for His love and provision for both us and St Saviours.
We have some personal news to share which comes with sadness, but also we hope with celebration.
This has been an incredibly difficult decision for us as a family to make. We are surprised that God has called us on, but calling us on He definitely is. Our next move is one of total obedience to God and His perfect plans for us. He has made it abundantly clear we are to go now and we will share more of that story with you in the coming weeks.
We have loved our time at St Saviours, watching God radically transform lives in the love and power of Jesus. So thank you for all you've done in making our time here so special.
In the last few days I have accepted an offer to become the Pastor of a church in Malibu, Los Angeles. We expect visitors! We are now in the immigration process which can take up to 3 months. That leaves plenty of time for prayer and conversations with you all, our church family. Whilst we are here we remain fully present and expectant that God will continue to move mightily.
I am sure there will be questions you may have about what happens next etc. Please do come, send an email and ask away. The wardens, PCC and I may not have all the answers immediately but they will be worked out in the coming weeks.
We will continue to pray for you all as God leads us to another time and place. We are certain He will send the right shepherd to you soon to lead you onwards, and we look forward to a time when we will be reunited around the table of the king.
