We have launched an exciting FREE event called Joy@KemptonPark happening 10am Sunday 17th June at Kempton Park Racecourse.
In a nutshell following a prompt from God we have stepped out and are undertaking a huge evangelism event at Kempton Park. We have a great line up of worship bands and Andrew Palau from the Luis Palau Association is flying over to share his testimony and preach the Gospel. Our very own Bishop of Kensington is coming to close the event it prayer. This event is a Kingdom building event and we want to see people come to know Jesus. We also want to see people who already know Jesus to have their faith fired up.
After the morning celebration we will be attempting to feed the 5000, using the supermarket surplus food that would usually go to waste. Like the celebration itself this is way beyond our own capabilities but we are praying that Gods provision and glory will be seen. We want to highlight the huge food poverty that exists and the huge food waste that exists alongside it.
This whole event has been done in faith – Kempton Park have given us their venue FREE. Only God could have done that. At every opportunity God has provided us with what we need (sometimes before we even knew we needed it). Including the expertise and loving partnerships of the Luis Palau Association, New Wine and Philo Trust. Without whom it wouldn’t be possible.
Please download a PDF of the poster for the event (link below the video) and feel free to send / share with friends. Go as wide as you like in terms of invitations!
To follow us on Facebook click the link to the Joy@KemptonPark facebook page. Please like and share as widely as possible. This is how we will reach lots of people who don’t know Jesus (and communicate with the ones that do!).
We will be providing free training (led by experts) for both prayer and response and catering in the week leading up to the event. There is also free evangelism training for all churches on 2nd and 3rd of May. Sunday 13th May at 7pm is an evening of renewal prayer and worship to get everyone fired up and excited for Joy@KemptonPark. Then finally in the week leading up to the event we will be providing hygiene training on Tuesday 12th June for anyone helping with feeding of the 5000 and then response training on Wednesday 13th June for the prayer team. Please do bring as many as you like to those evenings.
As we step out large for God we are all being renewed, grown, stretched and filled up in the process and I pray that it will be the same for you and your church too. This verse is my go to verse right now for this event and I pray it encourages you too;
“Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”
For 34 years no-one told me about Jesus and His redemptive love. I promised when I came to know Him that I would tell as many people as possible how loved they are! Lets go out and show how alive Gods love is for this world. Lets go out and show what a lie it is that faith is irrelevant. Lets go out and flood this place with His love and light and grow His Kingdom. Lets rise up as Christian brothers and sisters and respond to His call to always be prepared to give a reason for the hope that we have so that people can experience the greatest love they will ever receive. The love of Jesus Christ.
Are you in?
May God bless us all as we step out.
In His grip,
Director of Mission, Evangelism & Discipleship
