During last night’s Lent Worship & Prayer, God was clearly speaking to His people.
By the way, if you haven't been able to come to one yet, come along - they are a great way to worship, pray and listen to what God is saying to us. There have been pictures, words and visions given to us and they have all been amazingly connected.
Last night, one (of many) things shared was the importance of our VALUE, our WORTH to Him (who made us in His own image). Too often we hide in our fear of who we are, too scared to live in the call and purpose God has put in our hearts. The enemy tries to hide that from us by using fear, confusion and doubt.
The Bible says (John 10:10): "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy...but I (Jesus) I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full".
That's right, Jesus came so that we may have abundant life - His death on the cross means the enemy has already been defeated! We finished the night with a declaration song as an expression of that truth in our lives;
The enemy has been defeated, death couldn’t hold you down, we’re going to lift our voice in victory, we’re going to make Your praises loud
There is a link to a video from Biju Thampy below. Biju is the founder of Vision Rescue (Mumbai, India) and in the video he talks about how powerful that message can be. Have a listen to what he has seen when value is placed on the people he is reaching out to, then listen to the song we sang out last night.
So whether you have had negativity spoken over you in the past, whether you believe that you are worthless or if you generally battle with low self-esteem, I encourage you: make a decision today to look at yourself the way God sees you, through eyes of abundant, relentless and unwavering love.
